About The Role:

Days of Working: This is 2 early shifts with a potential 05:30 start, 2 late shifts with a potential 22:30 finish, and 2 days off depending on the team. 8 hours with a 30-minute break.

We are recruiting a Banksperson to support the safe movement and positioning of vehicles and equipment within a busy airside or operational environment. You will play a key role in guiding drivers, ensuring safe manoeuvres, and helping maintain efficient turnaround operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide vehicles, equipment, and high-lift units safely around operational areas.
  • Ensure clear communication with drivers using recognised hand signals and radio communication.
  • Support the safe positioning of vehicles at aircraft stands or designated operational zones.
  • Monitor surroundings to identify hazards, risks, or obstructions, taking action promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety, airport security, and airside protocols.
  • Conduct basic equipment checks and report any defects or safety concerns.
  • Work closely with supervisors, drivers, and operational teams to meet turnaround times.
  • Assist with general operational tasks when required to support smooth service delivery.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in aviation, logistics, warehousing, or other vehicle-movement environments (advantageous).
  • Strong awareness of safety and confidence working around moving vehicles and equipment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow standardised signals and procedures.
  • Reliable, alert, and able to remain focused in fast-paced or high-pressure conditions.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and commitment to safe working.
  • Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass airport security checks (if applicable).
  • Willingness to undergo and pass vetting that is to CAA regulations, and security clearance.
  • The candidate does not have to drive but it would benefit them to understand the role. Airport experience is desirable.
  • The role requires the colleague to be physically fit working with a team of cleaners delivering bedding and consumables through an aircraft by manual handling, working at height.
