Banner SaaS Developer / Configurator – SRS Transformation
Overview
We are seeking Banner SaaS Developers / Configurators to support a major transformation from SITS to Ellucian Banner SaaS.
The role will focus on translating business requirements and user stories into working Banner SaaS solutions, including forms, workflows, scheduled jobs and other low-code/no-code configuration and build activities.
The successful candidate will work within an Agile delivery environment, collaborating with functional, integration, data migration, reporting and testing teams to deliver high-quality configuration and development outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Quickly onboard onto the Banner SaaS platform and understand relevant functional capabilities.
- Translate signed-off business requirements, business processes and user stories into Banner SaaS configuration and build outputs.
- Configure and develop Banner SaaS functionality, including:
- Form creation and modification
- Workflows and complex workflows
- Scheduled jobs
- UI / experience cards
- Other low-code/no-code platform capabilities
- Estimate assigned batches of user stories and deliver work within agreed timelines.
- Work within an Agile, sprint-based delivery model and take ownership of assigned work packages.
- Support defect resolution, testing and handover into functional testing, system integration testing and UAT.
- Collaborate with integration, data migration, reporting and testing teams where Banner changes interact with other enterprise systems.
- Support integrations and downstream processes involving platforms such as Microsoft Azure, MuleSoft and third-party applications.
- Ensure configuration and build activities align with agreed business requirements, technical standards and delivery timelines.

Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on Banner SaaS configuration / development experience, or strong transferable experience with platforms such as SITS, Oracle or other enterprise SaaS / low-code-no-code platforms.
- Experience translating business requirements and user stories into SaaS platform configuration/build.
- Strong understanding of low-code/no-code environments and platform-specific capabilities such as:
- Workflows
- Forms
- UI / experience components
- Scheduled jobs
- Configuration
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum / sprint-based delivery environments.
- Ability to estimate work, manage assigned deliverables, complete builds and support defect resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new SaaS platforms and understand functional capabilities.

- Student records
- Student lifecycle
- Enrolment
- Registration
- Student accounts
- Assessment
- Progression
- Previous experience with SITS or Banner.
- Experience with Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce or other enterprise SaaS configuration platforms.
- Awareness of integration-heavy environments involving Microsoft Azure, MuleSoft and third-party systems.
- Exposure to reporting and analytics platforms such as Banner Insights, AWS and Power BI.

Experience Level
We are looking for mid-to-senior level developers/configurators with experience implementing and configuring SaaS platforms.
Candidates should be able to onboard quickly, understand business requirements and work independently within an Agile delivery environment.
Strong transferable experience will be considered where direct Banner SaaS experience is limited.
Delivery Expectations
The successful candidate should be comfortable working within a delivery-partner model, where teams receive batches of signed-off business processes and user stories, estimate and build the required functionality, and deliver completed outputs for subsequent functional testing, system integration testing and UAT.
The role requires a proactive, delivery-focused mindset, strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple technical and functional teams.
