Banqueting Chef (Temporary, November–December, accommodation provided)
Location: The George in Rye, East Sussex
Contract: Temporary, November and December 2026
Pay: Dependent on experience
We are looking for a strong Banqueting Chef to join The George in Rye on a temporary contract for November and December, covering our busy festive season. Accommodation is provided for the length of the contract. We offer a competitive package with great benefits and perks.

About Us
The George's Banqueting operation supports the Ballroom, Long Room and Kitchen Table rooms, which can be hired separately or together. We have a dedicated banqueting kitchen in the hotel, focused on weddings, private dining and festive events. You will work independently or alongside an experienced group of chefs who will support you to deliver the standards our guests expect.
Following a two-year refurbishment, The George in Rye has re-established itself as one of the leading hotel and banqueting venues in the South East. Having set the standard for boutique coaching inns 15 years ago, this iconic hotel is back under its original founders. Come and be part of it this festive season.
We are in the heart of the idyllic medieval town of Rye, between Ashford (Kent) to the east and Hastings to the west, by the sea next to Camber and its white sandy beaches.
