Sheraton Grand London Park Lane is seeking an experienced and passionate Banqueting Operations Manager to lead the delivery of exceptional events and banqueting experiences within one of London's most iconic luxury hotels. Inspired by the glamour of the Art Deco era and backed by the power of Marriott International, this is an incredible opportunity to build your career within one of the world's leading hospitality brands.

This role is responsible for the smooth and successful execution of a wide range of events, from large-scale conferences and gala dinners to weddings and corporate functions. Working closely with the Events, Culinary, Stewarding, and Hotel Operations teams, you will ensure impeccable service standards, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Banqueting department, ensuring events are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of conferences, weddings, gala dinners, and other large-scale events.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Drive guest satisfaction through exceptional service and effective problem resolution.
  • Manage labour costs, productivity, and departmental budgets while maintaining service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, food safety, and company policies.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality and a proven ability to manage high-volume banqueting operations within a luxury environment.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Banqueting Operations Manager, Assistant Banqueting Manager, or similar leadership role within a high-volume 5-star hotel.
  • Strong experience delivering large-scale conferences, gala dinners, weddings, and corporate events.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong focus on guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and financial performance.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
