Company Description
Are you passionate about hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences? We’re looking for Bar & Restaurant Servers to join our welcoming team at the stylish Mercure Bridgwater hotel, home to the renowned Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill.
As a Server, you’ll be at the heart of our restaurant and bar operation – providing attentive, friendly service, guiding guests through our menu and drinks selection, and ensuring every visit is one to remember.
Job Description
This is a part-time role, working 2–3 shifts per week, each lasting around 4–5 hours on average. Most shifts are evenings (from 5pm), though the flexibility to occasionally cover early starts (from 6am) would be an advantage. Shifts will also include weekends, public and bank holidays, which are some of our busiest times.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
