We’re looking for a Part-Time Bar Assistant to join our team and support No.4 Bar at Hilton Belfast.
Whether it’s serving the perfect drink, welcoming guests with a smile or helping create a great atmosphere, you’ll play an important part in making every visit memorable.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and passionate about hospitality. Previous bar or hospitality experience is helpful, but just as important is a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to look after our guests.

- CONTRACT TYPE & HOURS Permanent, part-time contract (20hrs per week) You’ll need to be flexible to work across 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Your role
As a Bar Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of service within the guidelines set by management and the department’s standard operating procedures.
You will be responsible for setting up the bar, taking food and drink orders from guests accurately and charging correctly, as well as assisting with table clearing, food delivery, beverage preparation and delivery.
You will be trained in all aspects of the role and have the opportunities to build on your food and beverage knowledge to know and understand the menus and offer food, wine, and beverage suggestions.
You’ll work in a busy and hardworking team environment, where you’ll continually learn and develop.

The Core Skills And Experience Required To Succeed
- Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry
- Previous bar or restaurant experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential
- Excellent personal presentation
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
