Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Bar Cleaner to join our team. As a Bar Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our bar and venue, ensuring that our guests enjoy a spotless and welcoming environment. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and has an eye for detail, contributing to the overall guest experience by ensuring the venue is always clean, tidy, and ready for service.

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitise all areas of the bar, including countertops, tables, seating areas, and bar equipment, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is always maintained.
  • Clean and maintain the entire venue, including floors, restrooms, entrances, and any other public areas, ensuring they are tidy and presentable.
  • Empty and clean waste bins, ensuring proper disposal of waste and recycling according to company procedures.
  • Ensure that cleaning supplies are well-stocked and notify the supervisor of any inventory needs. Replenish soap, toilet paper, and other necessities in restrooms.
  • Wash and polish glassware, cutlery, and other bar utensils, ensuring they are ready for use and free of stains or damage.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and report any hazards or maintenance issues to the manager.
  • Assist bar staff by maintaining a clean working environment, including behind the bar and in storage areas, helping with any additional cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Perform opening and closing cleaning routines to ensure the venue is ready for service at the start of each shift and left in pristine condition at the end of the day.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of the venue for events, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for guests.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role, particularly in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting, is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to complete tasks efficiently.
