Bar & Lounge Manager
Be our Bar & Lounge Manager, but most importantly, be you!
At Homewood, we take hospitality seriously.
We’re looking for a hands-on Bar & Lounge Manager to lead our Bar and Lounges, bring fresh ideas to the table and help us give our guests a bloody good time.
Set within our 31-bedroom hotel, spa and gardens just outside Bath, Homewood is full of personality, unexpected details and a little bit of mischief. Think glamorous chandeliers, quirky sculptures, giant teddy bears and a team who aren’t afraid to do things differently.
And now we’re looking for someone brilliant to join us.
What you’ll get

- 45 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days variable rota
- Monthly service charge payments, typically around £400 per month for this role. This is non-guaranteed and will vary depending on business levels

What you’ll be doing
As our Bar & Lounge Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of our Bar, Lounge, supporting the F&B team in restaurant, spa, lounges and terrace.
This is very much a hands-on role. You’ll be on the floor with your team, talking to guests, setting standards and making sure the atmosphere and service feel unmistakably Homewood.
You’ll:
- Lead, inspire and develop our Bar & Lounge team
- Create a brilliant guest experience from the first drink to the last
- Take ownership of our Afternoon Tea experience and continue raising its standards
- Bring knowledge, enthusiasm and a playful love of cocktails, wines and spirits
- Train and coach the team, helping people develop and progress
- Support recruitment, rotas and payroll control
- Manage liquor stock and help maintain strong commercial controls
- Work closely with our chefs to develop and improve our food and drink offering
- Support lunch, dinner and special event service across the wider F&B operation
- Bring new ideas to the senior F&B and hotel team – and help turn those ideas into reality
- Maintain excellent Health & Safety and industry standards

The kind of person we’re looking for
You’ll be someone who enjoys leading from the front rather than managing from behind a desk.
You’ll know how to create a great atmosphere for both guests and your team, have strong food and beverage knowledge and be comfortable taking responsibility for a busy operation.
Most importantly, you’ll bring your own personality.
