Role Description

The Bar Manager monitors inventory, places orders, manages suppliers, and controls costs while maintaining quality standards. This role also includes:
- Training and coaching bar team members
- Maintaining hygiene and safety compliance
- Handling guest feedback to deliver excellent customer experiences
The Bar Manager collaborates with restaurant leadership to support promotions, optimize sales, and refine the bar offering to align with Lokal’s Turkish cuisine concept.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills to engage guests and lead a diverse bar team.
- Experience in food & beverage operations, including bar service, cocktail preparation, and product knowledge.
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a positive, performance-focused work environment.
- Sales skills to promote menu items, drive revenue, and support marketing initiatives and special events.
- Previous experience as a Bar Manager or supervisory role in a busy restaurant or bar setting.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and licensing regulations relevant to bar operations in the UK.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, including inventory control and shift planning.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
