We're recruiting an experienced Bar Manager to support the General Manager at a busy, independent hospitality venue in Leamington Spa.

This is a varied, hands-on role within a lively operation offering craft beer, cocktails, quality food, live music and private events. You'll help lead the venue day to day, with particular responsibility for the bar operation, drinks standards and team performance.

The Role

  • Support the General Manager with the daily running of the venue
  • Lead the bar team from the front during busy services and late-night trading
  • Maintain excellent standards across cocktails, craft beer, wines and spirits
  • Recruit, train and develop a confident, knowledgeable team
  • Manage stock, ordering, cellar operations and supplier relationships
  • Control wastage, margins, labour costs and other key performance figures
  • Help deliver live music nights, private parties and large corporate events
  • Ensure licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene standards are consistently met
  • Handle guest feedback quickly and professionally
  • Step up and take full ownership of the venue in the General Manager's absence

About You

  • Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Deputy Manager or strong Assistant Manager
  • A genuine passion for drinks, particularly cocktails and craft beer
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy, late-night environment
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing stock, margins and labour
  • A confident people manager who enjoys coaching and developing teams
  • Organised, resilient and calm under pressure
  • Experience with live entertainment, events or private hire would be advantageous
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
