Bar Staff / Bar Supervisor

Pay: £12.71–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
Job Types: Full-time and Part-time
Location: South London
Live-in option: Accommodation may be available for the right candidate applying for a Supervisor/Management position.

Job Description

Are you enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about hospitality?

We are a family-owned group of Irish pubs in South London and are looking for experienced and reliable Bar Staff and Bar Supervisors to join our team.

We pride ourselves on providing great hospitality and creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our customers. Our pubs have a lively atmosphere, featuring live sport, live music and entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

Depending On Your Role, Duties May Include

  • Serving drinks and snacks
  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service
  • Collecting, cleaning and putting away glasses
  • Cleaning and restocking the bar area
  • Carrying out cellar duties
  • Handling cash and card payments
  • Supervising the bar and floor areas
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

Essential Requirements

We Are Looking For Candidates With

  • Previous bar, pub or restaurant experience
  • A friendly, confident and approachable personality
  • The ability to interact and converse comfortably with customers
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • A positive and reliable attitude
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong observational skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment

Supervisor / Management Roles

Candidates applying for Supervisor or Management positions should ideally also have experience with:

  • Supervising and supporting bar staff
  • Cellar management, including maintaining stock, cleanliness and cellar standards
  • Social media engagement and promotion
  • Stock control and monitoring
  • Cash handling and reconciliation
  • Opening and/or closing procedures
  • Maintaining excellent customer-service and operational standards

Working Hours & Location

We have full-time and part-time positions available.

Applicants should live in South London or be able to reliably commute to and from work, as some evening and weekend shifts may finish after midnight.

A live-in option may be available for the right Supervisor/Management candidate.

Pay & Benefits

£12.71–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience and position
Salaried arrangements may be considered for suitable Management/Supervisor candidates
