About the Role
We're looking for a confident, professional and guest-focused Bar Security Officer to join our team at one of our two distinctive bars: 12th Knot or Lyaness.
Working across our vibrant bar operations, you'll play an important role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the highest standards of safety and security are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a visible and professional security presence within our bars and guest areas
- Welcoming guests and maintaining a friendly, approachable manner
- Monitoring guest behaviour and identifying potential issues before they escalate
- Managing entry and ensuring our admission policies are consistently followed
- Supporting the team with crowd management during busy periods and events
- Responding calmly and professionally to incidents, disputes or challenging situations
- Working closely with the Bar, Front Office and wider hotel teams
- Carrying out regular checks of designated areas
- Following hotel security procedures and accurately reporting incidents
- Supporting the safety and wellbeing of guests and colleagues at all times

What We're Looking For
- SIA Door Supervisor licensed
- Confident, professional and approachable
- Calm under pressure with excellent situational awareness
- Comfortable dealing with challenging situations diplomatically
- A strong communicator and team player
- Reliable, punctual and able to work late-night and weekend shifts
- Guest-focused, with a genuine understanding of hospitality
- Previous experience in hotel, bar or nightlife security is desirable
Salary and Benefits
Salary: £36,305 p/a + service charge + benefits
