Job Title
You will be the face of our bar, crafting both classic cocktails and innovative drinks while creating a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Sales
- Welcome guests warmly, provide menus, and show them to their tables.
- Accurately record beverage orders, noting any dietary requirements or special requests.
- Possess strong beverage knowledge to confidently suggest pairings and upsell items.
- Check on tables to ensure guests are happy, and handle any feedback or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Engage with patrons to build rapport, answer menu questions, and ensure complete satisfaction throughout their visit.
Service & Operations
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) according to established recipes and guest preferences.
- Select, prepare, and apply garnishes to enhance drink presentation and flavor.
- Suggest drinks and wine pairings to elevate the guest experience and drive sales.
- Ensure payment transactions including cash, debit and credit cards are processed adhering to the till procedures, communicating any discrepancies to the shift leader before the end of your shift.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and replacing kegs or empty bottles as needed.
Hygiene & Health & Safety
- Maintain spotless bar, and back-of-house areas.
- Adhere to strict health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times.
- Be aware of energy consumption ensuring lights, air conditioning or equipment not in use are switched off.
- Ensure all equipment and furniture is correctly stored when not in use.
- Be aware of licensing and food hygiene legislation applicable to the role.
- Verify the age and identification of patrons to ensure full compliance with licensing laws.
- Monitor guest consumption levels and exercise decision-making skills to refuse service to intoxicated patrons.
Appearance
- Maintain the venue housekeeping standards, monitoring and influencing cleaning standards at all times.
- Assist with a daily check of all bar and club areas to ensure they are clean and presentable, set according to any client requirements and in line with the SOP.
- Ensure cleaning rotas are adhered to and in line with company standards.
- Ensure high standards of personal hygiene are maintained at all times.

Requirements
- Proven experience working as a bartender in a fast-paced bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- In-depth knowledge of mixology, wine, spirits, and craft beers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment without compromising on service quality.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by business demands.
