Aberdeen Squash and Racketball Club, established in 1913, is a long-standing sports and social venue featuring seven high-quality squash courts, including a glass-backed court. The Bar offers a modern and welcoming environment for members and guests. The club provides additional amenities such as a function suite for up to 100 people, a fitness room, club shop, coaching facilities. With several large screens and an HD projector, the club regularly showcases major sporting events, creating a vibrant atmosphere for visitors.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Bar Staff role based at Aberdeen Squash and Racketball Club in Aberdeen. The Bar Staff team member will serve drinks, maintain a clean and organized bar area, and provide a friendly and professional service to members and guests. Daily responsibilities include taking orders, handling cash and card payments, restocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with relevant food and beverage safety standards. The role also involves supporting events in the function suite, setting up for busy match nights, and working collaboratively with other staff to deliver a positive experience for everyone in the club.

- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear verbal communication and active listening.
- Experience or familiarity with Food & Beverage service, including basic hygiene and safety practices.
- Reliable Cash Handling skills, with attention to accuracy and honesty in transactions.
- Ability to participate in and support Training, including learning club procedures and assisting new team members.
- Previous bar, hospitality, or retail experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by club events and match schedules.
- Basic numeracy, punctuality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
