Who We Are
Rock City is one of the UK’s most iconic live music venues and club spaces, right in the heart of Nottingham. For decades, we’ve welcomed huge artists, breakthrough bands, massive club nights and thousands of music lovers through our doors.
Behind every gig, club night and sold-out event is a team of people making it happen, from bar staff and floor teams to production, management, promotions, security, welfare and everything in between.
We’re proud of the energy, personality and hard work our team brings to the venue. It can be busy, loud, late and fast-paced, but it’s also fun, rewarding and full of moments you won’t get in a normal job.
If you love music, nightlife, people and being part of something with a bit of history behind it, Rock City could be the place for you.
Your Role
As a member of our bar team, you'll play a key part in making sure every customer has a great experience. You'll be preparing and serving drinks, taking orders and payments, checking ID where required, and providing friendly, efficient service throughout your shift.
You'll also help keep the bar clean, well-stocked and organised by replenishing stock, changing barrels when needed, collecting and washing glassware, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Working closely with the rest of the team, you'll help keep service running smoothly during both quieter periods and busy events.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
