Location: Baker Barracks, Thorney Island, Emsworth, PO10 8DH
Salary: £15,914.21
Contract type: Temporary, part-time, 25 hours per week, Mon – Fri.
Shift times: TBA
As a Bar Steward at Baker Barracks, you'll play a key role in the provision of a quality food and bar service for military personnel, staff, and visitors. Supporting one of the Army's key air defence bases, you'll be part of a dedicated team where your contribution is valued, and your work helps ensure the smooth running of an important military establishment.
To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

What you’ll do:
- Serving meals, beverages, and bar snack items to customers.
- Cash handling and till operation.
- General housekeeping, including bar cleaning, glass washing, and ensuring the communal areas are kept tidy and neat.
- Stocking up and stock rotation using the FIFO method.
- Report to line manager for any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during your shift.
- Duties may be changed to meet the changing needs and requirements of the company.
What we’re looking for:
- Been resident in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Must be over 18.
- Can pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
- Similar work experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
