Bar Team Member at The Hog's Back Hotel & Spa
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Bar Team Member at The Hog's Back Hotel & Spa. You'll be at the heart of creating memorable guest experiences, delivering exceptional service, and helping to create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere within our bar.
Nestled in the heart of the Surrey countryside, Hog's Back Hotel & Spa offers comfortable accommodation, a welcoming restaurant and bar, leisure facilities, and versatile event spaces.
How you'll bring the magic to the bar as our Bar Team Member:
- Deliver a warm and friendly welcome to every guest, creating a positive and enjoyable experience.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, and coffees.
- Develop a strong knowledge of our drinks menu and confidently recommend products to guests.
- Ensure every drink is prepared and presented to the highest standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar area throughout service.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Build relationships with guests and provide attentive service in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to licensing laws and promote responsible alcohol service.
- Support with functions and events where required.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work opening and closing shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Continue developing your knowledge and skills through training and development opportunities.

What we're looking for as our Bar Team Member:
- A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Previous bar experience is desirable but not essential.
- An interest in wines, spirits, cocktails, and current industry trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- The ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.
