Company Description

Are you ready to bring energy to our Bars Team? At Potters Resorts, we’re not simply looking for people who can serve drinks — we’re looking for personalities. Our Bars Team plays a huge part in creating the atmosphere our guests love. We want energetic, enthusiastic people who enjoy talking to guests, work with real pace and purpose, and aren’t afraid to get stuck in when things get busy. You don’t necessarily need years of bar experience. For us, attitude, personality and work ethic are just as important as experience. If you’ve got those, we can teach you the rest.

Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Welcoming and engaging with our guests throughout their stay.
  • Taking drink orders and providing friendly, efficient table service.
  • Running drinks to guests’ tables quickly and efficiently.
  • Preparing and serving our wide range of all-inclusive drinks, from teas and coffees to milkshakes, cocktails, beers, wines and spirits.
  • Keeping our bars, service areas and guest tables clean, tidy and looking their best.
  • Building your knowledge of the Resort so you can confidently help guests with questions.
  • Supporting your teammates and helping wherever you’re needed.
  • Playing your part in creating a fantastic atmosphere across our bars and lounges.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Naturally enjoys engaging with people and can make our guests feel welcome from the moment you meet them.
  • Brings energy, pace and urgency to every shift — particularly when we’re at our busiest.
  • Doesn’t wait to be told what needs to be done - you spot it and get on with it.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and is always prepared to help others.
  • Takes pride in delivering great service rather than simply completing a task.
  • Can start conversations, build rapport and help create the friendly atmosphere Potters is famous for.
  • Maintains high standards of presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Is positive, reliable and ready to learn.
  • Wants to develop their skills and potentially progress within the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What matters to us:

Our bars can be extremely busy, and that’s when teamwork, communication and urgency really matter. We want people who respond to a busy bar by stepping up the pace, supporting their teammates and staying positive with our guests. You can teach someone how to make a cocktail. It’s much harder to teach someone to have a great attitude. That’s why we’re looking for people with personality, enthusiasm, initiative and a genuine desire to give our guests a brilliant experience. Previous hospitality or bar experience is certainly welcome, but if you’re naturally outgoing, hardworking and eager to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.

Hours of Work:

Full-time position, working 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Bar opening times: 8.30am – 2am Shifts include; days, evenings, and late shifts All straight shifts around the needs of the business

  • £12.71 per hr (Over 21)
