Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic, versatile, and customer-focused Front of House Team Member to join our team for weekend shifts. In this role, you will be the face of our venue, seamlessly pivoting between waiting tables, running food, and working behind the bar depending on the flow of service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves interacting with guests, and works well as part of a collaborative team.

Core Responsibilities

Waiting Tables & Guest Relations

  • Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and welcoming attitude.
  • Present menus, confidently explain daily specials, and offer recommendations based on dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders utilizing our electronic Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Process bills and handle guest payments efficiently, managing cash and card transactions securely.
  • Keep tables cleared (pre-bussed) and wiped down, ensuring a fast turnaround for arriving guests.

Food Running & Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen to ensure food orders are delivered to the correct tables promptly.
  • Inspect dishes at the pass for correct presentation, cleanliness, and accuracy before serving.
  • Work with waiting staff to ensure guests have all necessary condiments, cutlery, and side dishes.

  • Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, following specified measurements and recipes.
  • Keep the bar clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift.
  • Monitor guest intoxication levels and strictly verify IDs to comply with minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality experience (as a waiter/waitress, bartender, or food runner) is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a natural ability to connect with people.
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills to handle a busy weekend rush effectively.
  • High physical stamina; ability to remain on your feet and moving for long stretches of time.
  • Reliable availability for weekend shifts, including Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Qualifications

As a member of our Bar & Waiting Staff, you will…

  • Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience each and every time they visit.
  • Be the insider behind the bar, offering recommendations to customers.
  • Prepare and present drinks that meet specifications and customer expectations.
  • Assist in greeting, serving food and looking after our customers whilst they dine with us.
  • Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.

  • Have a great eye for detail, making sure every pint is poured to perfection.
  • A passion for giving great service and making sure every customer receives a warm welcome.
  • A positive can-do attitude and be a real team player.
  • Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
