Position Summary
As a Barback, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring bartenders have everything they need to deliver exceptional service. You will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, keeping the bar clean and organised, assisting with beverage preparation, and ensuring guests receive a high-quality experience at all times.
This role is ideal for an energetic and reliable hospitality professional with excellent teamwork skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support bartenders by ensuring the bar is fully stocked with beverages, glassware, garnishes, ice, and supplies throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all bar areas, including counters, storage areas, and equipment.
- Replenish stock and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
- Prepare and restock garnishes, mixers, and other bar essentials in line with operational standards.
- Collect, wash, polish, and store glassware and bar equipment efficiently.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries in accordance with company procedures.
- Remove empty bottles, packaging, and waste, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Support bartenders with beverage preparation and service when required.
- Ensure all health, safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations are followed at all times.
- Respond promptly to requests from bartenders and management to maintain service efficiency.
- Report any maintenance issues, stock shortages, or operational concerns to the Bar Manager or Supervisor.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests.
- Work closely with bartenders, servers, and management teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, stocking, and preparing the bar for service.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by demonstrating teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Uphold the hotel's values and service standards at all times.
