Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Barista role based at our café in Kingston Upon Thames. The Barista will prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages, handle food preparation for light dishes or pastries, and maintain a clean, organized workstation and customer area. The Barista will follow health, safety, and hygiene guidelines, restock supplies, and support the wider team during busy periods. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and contributing to a welcoming, community-focused café experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to provide friendly, attentive hospitality.
  • 2 years + Barista experience and basic Food Preparation skills, including working with coffee equipment and café menus.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Part time: 15-25 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Weekends holiday availability preferred
  • Clear Communication skills for interacting with guests and collaborating with team members.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness, follow food safety and hygiene standards, and handle cash or POS systems accurately.
  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.
  • Passion for coffee, food, and creating a welcoming environment for a diverse range of guests.
  • Applicant must have the right to work in the UK.
