The Roof Gardens

The Roof Gardens is a social club in the sky, 100 feet above the streets of Kensington. Close to an acre of private gardens with views across London to the horizon, The Roof Gardens is a new generation members club.

A place of escape, bursting with wildflowers, olive and mulberry trees, grassy lawns and hidden nooks. An Art Deco gem created in 1938, The Roof Gardens has a legendary legacy. The Roof Gardens’ community is united by open-mindedness, optimism and kindness, not defined by background.

The Role

We are looking for a talented Barista to join our team. As a member of our front-of-house service team, you will be responsible for the execution of our hot drinks offering, helping deliver a world-class service alongside a highly trained, charismatic team whose collective goal is to deliver excellence to our members.

You will be proud to uphold the club’s service standards, deliver beautiful and delicious drinks every time, and help build the reputation of The Roof Gardens. We seek somebody with solid experience, ideally in a similar environment, an impeccable demeanour, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You should be curious, detail-oriented and motivated with a passion for coffee, food, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service:

  • Manage day-to-day coffee operations including welcoming guests warmly, producing drinks with precision and efficiency, restocking bar, and taking orders and processing payments through POS system.
  • Maintain a high-quality beverage service and learn guest preferences for a personalised service where possible.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and high personal standards and set a positive example for new team members.
  • Collaborate with the wider F&B team to achieve departmental KPIs and contribute creative ideas.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
