Barista / Front of House Assistant
Are you passionate about great coffee and creating memorable guest experiences? We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Barista / Front of House Assistant to join the 24 team at the Café within the Goodwood Art Foundation.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, creative environment and enjoys delivering exceptional service with genuine warmth.
About The Role
As a Barista, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy high‑quality beverages and friendly, efficient service. You’ll be confident operating coffee equipment, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and supporting the wider café team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and speciality beverages
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment confidently
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments
- Maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic coffee bar and work area
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Restock supplies and support with inventory as needed
- Provide warm, attentive customer service and respond to guest inquiries
- Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards

What We’re Looking For
Qualities & Experience
- Previous barista experience (refresher training available)
- Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and espresso-based drinks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Positive, friendly attitude with a genuine “can‑do” approach
- Proactive and able to take responsibility for your work
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within hospitality
