Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Barista role located in Tunstall. The Barista prepares and serves a variety of coffee and tea beverages to Starbucks standards, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Responsibilities include:

The role also involves:

  • Following food safety procedures
  • Stocking supplies
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience

Baristas are expected to embody Starbucks values, support store goals, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a welcoming and engaging environment for all guests.
  • Barista skills, including basic coffee knowledge and the ability to learn beverage recipes and preparation techniques.
  • Clear Communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Food Preparation skills and an understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and repetitive motion.
  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role is beneficial but not required.
  • Commitment to inclusivity, teamwork, and upholding Starbucks’ mission and values.
