Job Description
We are looking for a Barista to join our amazing catering Team at one of our prestigious contracts at the British Library in London. We are looking for enthusiastic team players with great customer service skills and hospitality experience, ideally serving food and beverage in a café or similar environment. Full and part-time roles available.
Main Duties
- Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of our outlets, Monday to Sunday
- Adhere to operational policies and procedures
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance
- Be flexible with working hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays
- Grind and brew coffee
- Follow recipes and presentation standards for food and beverages, when needed
- Consistently provide well-crafted, well-presented, and high-quality beverages
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of menu offerings and allergens
- Take customer orders and process payments
- Accurately handle cash and card payments in line with procedures
- Serve customers promptly and efficiently
- Interact with both new and regular customers in a professional manner
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints politely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and sanitised working environment
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment
- Perform regular stock checks and place orders as required
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of coffee, and educate clients and colleagues
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
- Uphold and enhance the company’s reputation for food quality and customer service

- Previous barista experience and customer service skills
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills are essential for this role
- Attention to details and good organizational skills
