Barnes Law is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Partner to join our team and play a central role in shaping the firm's continued expansion.

About Barnes Law

Barnes Law is a firm of solicitors with a solid background in dispute resolution, covering litigation, arbitration, banking, corporate, and commercial disputes. We act for a diverse client base, from individuals to corporates and financial institutions, on complex, often cross-border matters. As demand for our services grows, we are investing further in our team and our firm.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine opportunity to step into a Partner role with real autonomy, the backing of a full-service firm, and the scope to build and grow your own practice within an entrepreneurial, collegiate environment. We welcome both established practitioners with an existing client following, and strong candidates in the earlier stages of developing their own practice who can demonstrate technical excellence, business acumen, and clear ambition.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop your practice area as part of the firm's strategic growth:
    • Act on complex, high-value matters, working directly with clients from instruction through to resolution
    • Manage and mentor a team of solicitors, trainees, and support staff
    • Originate and develop new client relationships, building on existing networks
    • Contribute to the firm's business development, market profile, and thought leadership (publications, seminars, industry events)
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver a joined-up service to clients
    • Play a role in shaping firm strategy, culture, and future growth

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
