About The Role

The Role
As a Bar / Plate Saw Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating bar saw and plate saw machinery safely and efficiently.
- Cutting metal accurately to customer specifications and required dimensions.
- Reading and following cutting instructions, drawings, and job specifications.
- Measuring materials and ensuring cuts are completed accurately.
- Checking finished materials for quality and accuracy.
- Operating a counterbalance forklift to load and unload stock and materials.
- Moving and storing metal stock safely around the warehouse and production area.
- Loading and unloading deliveries using the forklift.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Following all company health & safety procedures.
- Working efficiently to meet production and customer requirements.

About You
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience operating both bar saw and plate saw machinery.
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence – this is essential for the role.
- Previous experience working with metal products/materials.
- The ability to accurately measure and cut materials to specification.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- A good understanding of workplace health & safety.
- A reliable and hardworking approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
