Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at ANDY'S TAVERNA in London. The Barista prepares and serves a range of hot and cold drinks, including coffees, teas, and specialty beverages, following established recipes and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include:

The Barista is expected to provide friendly, efficient customer service and contribute positively to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with a diverse range of guests.
  • Experience preparing coffee and other beverages, including basic knowledge of espresso machines and related equipment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and support team members during busy periods.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude toward colleagues and supervisors.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed by the restaurant.
  • Prior experience in a cafe, bar, or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training can be provided.
  • Basic numeracy for handling cash, card payments, and simple record-keeping; familiarity with point-of-sale systems is an advantage.
