Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Bartender role based at Castle Street Townhouse in Liverpool. The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails, signature drinks, wine, and beer, in line with venue standards and recipes.

The role involves handling cash and card transactions accurately, restocking supplies, monitoring inventory, and adhering to all licensing, safety, and hygiene regulations. The Bartender will work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver smooth service and a consistently high level of guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage guests, manage busy periods, and resolve issues professionally.
  • Experience in Bartending and Food & Beverage service, including mixing drinks, serving bar snacks or menu items, and following recipes.
  • Proficiency in Cash Handling and using POS systems to process payments accurately and securely.
  • Knowledge of drink menus, spirits, wines, beers, and basic cocktail techniques, with an interest in learning new products and trends.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to hygiene, safety, and responsible service of alcohol, with attention to detail and bar presentation.
  • Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred; relevant training or certifications (e.g., responsible alcohol service) are a plus.
