Bartender – Engel, Royal Exchange
£16.27 per hour | 40 hours per week | Monday–Saturday | Sundays off

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Bartender to join the team at Engel, our bar and events space located on the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London.
We’re looking for someone who knows their drinks, loves hospitality and enjoys creating the kind of experience that keeps guests coming back.
As one of our Bartenders, you’ll be at the heart of Engel – crafting consistently excellent drinks, sharing your knowledge with guests and bringing personality, energy and professionalism to every service.

What you’ll be doing
As Bartender, you will:
- Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines and other beverages to consistently high standards.
- Deliver warm, engaging and professional service to every guest.
- Build excellent knowledge of our cocktail list, spirits, wines and wider drinks offering.
- Confidently recommend drinks and help guests discover something they’ll love.
- Create cocktails with consistency, precision and attention to presentation.
- Work closely with the wider Front of House team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Support private events and functions within Engel.
- Keep the bar organised, beautifully presented, fully stocked and ready for service.
- Assist with stock management, deliveries and replenishment.
- Follow all licensing, health & safety and hygiene requirements.
- Bring energy, personality and a positive attitude to every shift.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a bartender who combines great drinks knowledge with genuine hospitality.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Bartender within a quality bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits and bar operations.
- A genuine interest in mixology and a desire to continue developing your drinks knowledge.
- A warm, confident and engaging personality.
- Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the drinks you serve.
- A proactive, enthusiastic and hands-on approach.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and efficient during busy services.
- A team-focused attitude and willingness to support those around you.
- High standards of cleanliness, organisation and hygiene.
- The legal right to work in the UK.

- £16.27 per hour
- 40-hour contract
- Monday to Saturday operation
- Closed every Sunday
- Based at the Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London
