Role Description: Gator’s Dockside Bartender
A Gator’s Dockside bartender is responsible for the upkeep of the entire bar area as well as the care and service of all guests in the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Upkeep and Service: Maintain the bar area (both inside and out) and ensure guest satisfaction through proper service and drink preparation.
- Compliance: Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with local and state laws, and control distribution, especially concerning underage persons. Maintain a current food safety certification.
- Interaction: Interact with management, hourly employees, and guests in a friendly and non-coercive manner.
- Drink Preparation: Prepare alcoholic and frozen drinks in a timely manner according to guest orders or service staff requests.
- Menu Knowledge: Familiarize with the restaurant’s food menu, promotions, and specials, and present them to guests.
- Communication: Inform management of changes in volume or suggested changes in the “pars” of certain items.
- Identification: Familiarize with procedures for checking identification for age verification and restaurant guidelines on serving, over-serving, and cutting off guests.
- Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area through daily, weekly, and additional cleaning projects as required.
- Bar Tabs: Maintain bar tabs in front of each guest with their name after each drink is served.
- Equipment Reporting: Recognize and report equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
- Common Area Maintenance: Assist in cleaning and maintaining all common areas of the restaurant as directed by management.
