Bartender – Brooklands Bar, The Peninsula London

The Peninsula London is seeking a passionate Bartender to join the Brooklands Bar team, reporting to the Head Mixologist and Bar Manager. This is a critical role in delivering an efficient yet unforgettable guest experience through superior service and a unique beverage offering.

About The Role

The venue, designed by renowned London architects Archer Humphryes, features:

  • A sleek main dining room
  • A sweeping outdoor terrace with panoramic views across London’s skyline, including:
    • St Paul’s Cathedral
    • The London Eye
    • Battersea Power Station
    • Three Royal Parks: Hyde Park, Green Park, and St James’ Park

  • Foster positive guest & collegiate interactions, upholding strong working relationships.

  • Conduct regular staff training on:

    • Cocktail preparation techniques

  • Exceed guest expectations by:

    • Anticipating needs proactively
    • Refining service standards continuously

  • Ensure facility upkeep for:

    • Bar, dining room & public areas
    • Timely recommendations for maintenance improvements
  • Enforce consistency in all service techniques and cocktail preparation standards for each shift.


Requirements

Technical & Creative Skills

  • Deep knowledge of:

    • Classic cocktails and their preparation
    • Luxury-level bar techniques
    • Innovative beverage alternatives
  • Restaurant/bar experience in a high-end or mews-level venue is essential.

Service & Character Qualities

  • A passion for both service excellence and exceptional beverage offerings
  • Appetite for creativity with a commitment to exceeding guest expectations daily
  • Fluent in a second language (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Excellent communication skills (essential for both guests and teams)
