Originally founded in 1994 as Papas of Poulton, Bistro Italia has been a central part of the area's hospitality industry for over three decades. The business has recently undergone a major refurbishment which has transformed the restaurant to create an elevated experience for guests. The refurbishment has gained huge traction online, being covered by local media outlets and generating popular demand for reservations. Consequently, Bistro Italia are looking to expand its team.

Role Description
The Bartender role is a full-time or part-time position. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Maintaining a clean and organised bar
- Ensuring all drinks are made with care
In addition to regular bar responsibilities, Bartenders at Bistro Italia are expected to display excellent front of house skills, welcoming every guest upon arrival and maintaining the presentation of the bar's seating area. A high level of customer service is essential for success in this role. Additional tasks include:
- Handling cash and card payments
- Monitoring stock levels
- Restocking supplies
- Supporting the wider front-of-house team during busy periods
The role requires adherence to health, safety, and responsible service regulations while contributing to a friendly and professional atmosphere.

Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage guests, manage orders, and work with other team members effectively.
- Solid Bartending knowledge, including drink preparation, basic mixology, and familiarity with bar and restaurant menus.
- Accurate Cash Handling skills, with the ability to process payments, manage tabs, and reconcile transactions responsibly.
- Previous experience in a bar, pub, or restaurant environment is highly beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work evenings and weekends, and perform tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and local licensing regulations is an advantage.
- Reliable, team-oriented attitude, with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
