Bartender Wanted - Graduate Cambridge Is Calling. Are You Ready?
Cambridge doesn’t do ordinary. Neither do we. And we’re betting neither do you.
White Rabbit Hospitality creates and operates bespoke Food & Beverage spaces within hotels. At Graduate Cambridge, a hotel that captures the spirit, energy, and charm of one of the world's greatest university cities, we're building a bar team as vibrant as our surroundings and we're looking for a passionate, guest-focused Bartender to come and make their mark.
This is more than a bar job. This is your chance to become a fixture of one of Cambridge’s most celebrated hotel bars, shaking up world-class cocktails, building genuine connections with guests, and crafting the kind of moments people come back for. Long after they’ve punted their way down the Cam, they’ll still be talking about that drink you made them.
At White Rabbit Hospitality, our values aren’t just words on a wall: Hospitality is at our core, We do the right thing, We pursue excellence, and We are all entrepreneurs. If that sounds like your kind of bar, you’re already our kind of person.
Our Values - Lived Behind Every Bar, Every Day
- Hospitality is at our core: Great hospitality isn’t a job title - it’s a mindset. Every pour, every smile, every perfectly timed recommendation is a chance to make someone’s day.
- We do the right thing: We back our people, hold ourselves to high standards, and never cut corners - whether guests are watching or not.
- We pursue excellence: We obsess over the details - from the perfect garnish to remembering how a regular takes their Martini. Good enough is never good enough.
- We are all entrepreneurs: Got an idea for the cocktail menu? A smarter way to run service? Bring it. We want people who treat the bar like it’s their own.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What Will You Be Doing?
- Own the welcome: Make every guest feel like the best person who’s walked through the door, whether they’re grabbing a quick pint or settling in for the night.
- Craft every drink with care: Cocktails, wines, spirits, soft drinks, always to the standard that makes guests want to photograph it before they drink it.
- Know your menu inside out: So when a guest asks “what do you recommend?”, you light up rather than reach for the menu.
- Read the room, read the guest and then do the thing they didn’t even know they needed: That’s where the magic lives.
- Run a tight ship: A clean, stocked, beautifully presented bar is non-negotiable. Standards don’t drop because it’s a Tuesday.
- Keep a sharp eye on stock: Monitor levels, flag what’s needed, and treat wastage like the enemy it is.
- Be a brilliant team player: Because great service is a team sport, and everyone across the F&B operation wins or loses together.
- Set the vibe: The energy you bring when you step behind that bar sets the tone for the whole room. Make it count.
What Do You Need?
- Real bartending experience: You’ve worked in a quality hotel, bar, or hospitality setting and you know what high standards feel like.
- A genuine love for this industry: You geek out over cocktail menus, you care about how guests feel, and you’d rather be in service than almost anywhere else.
- Solid drinks knowledge: Cocktails, spirits, wine, you know your Negroni from your Boulevardier and you’re always learning more.
- Personality that fills the room: Warm, confident, and the kind of person guests gravitate toward because you make them feel genuinely welcome.
- Ice-cool under pressure: Friday night at the bar? You’re in your element, not your element of stress.
- Responsible service knowledge: You understand licensing requirements and take your duty of care seriously.
- WSET or equivalent beverage qualification: A nice bonus, but not a dealbreaker. Passion and attitude will always beat a certificate.
- EPOS experience: Handy if you have it, easy to learn if you don’t.
