Job Summary
We are actively seeking a friendly, professional, and experienced female Bartender with an outgoing personality to join our growing team in the Cayman Islands.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, and be a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Drink Preparation: Mix and serve drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences. This includes crafting classic cocktails, creating new drinks, and pouring wine, beer, and other beverages.
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and provide attentive service. Engage with customers to enhance their experience, answer questions about the menu, and make recommendations when appropriate.
- Bar Management: Manage bar operations efficiently, including restocking and organizing bar supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and setting up and closing down the bar area.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and assist in managing bar stock to minimize waste and prevent shortages. Conduct regular inventory checks.
- Cash Handling: Process payments accurately, handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system. Ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local regulations regarding the serving of alcohol, including verifying the age of customers, refusing service to intoxicated individuals, and following health and safety guidelines.
- Event Support: Assist in preparing and serving drinks for special events, private parties, and functions held within the establishment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation, especially during busy periods.
- Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Bartending school certification is an advantage.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role is required.
Skills:
- Proficient in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Good math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and proper serving techniques.
- Understanding of local laws regarding alcohol service.

Working Conditions
- The job requires standing for long periods, frequent bending, and lifting heavy items (e.g., kegs, boxes of bottles).
