This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in Belfast’s recently opened boutique hotel.
Who Are We?
The Bedford Hotel Belfast is a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining room, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.
Role Responsibilities
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for the day-to-day service within the Bar and Restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and always maintained in line with our guest expectations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To
- Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
- Complete the set up and closedown of the bar, including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies.
- Ensure that the preparation and presentation of each section is of a high standard and is in line with the standards set.
- Familiarise yourself with the beverage menus, providing knowledgeable and creative drink recommendations to guests.
- Take beverage orders and ensure that they are communicated to the bar promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a high standard of restaurant and back of house cleanliness and hygiene practices.
- Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed procedures.
- Ensure all beverages are prepared consistently and to the standards expected.
- Create cocktails following mixology guides in place, ensuring consistency and uniformity.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager.

Key Requirements
- Previous bar service, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Previous mixology experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and organisational skills
- Flexibility – to enjoy working different shift patterns and seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends.
- A warm and friendly personality.
- Good teamwork skills - we want work to be fun for all our employees.
- Have a genuine interest in providing exceptional hospitality service to our guests.
