The Chancery Rosewood is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites by Joseph Dirand and a collection of dynamic dining and bar spaces, it’s a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.

The Role

The Bartender is responsible for creating an engaging and memorable guest experience at The Chancery Rosewood by expertly preparing and serving a wide range of beverages. This role requires a blend of excellent customer service, strong bartending skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail and ensuring an excellent beverage experience, reflecting Rosewood Hotels and Resorts’ culture and purpose and its commitment to excellence and innovation.

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and approved sequences of service.
  • Recommend drink options and pairings based on customer preferences and knowledge of regular guests.
  • Greet guests warmly and take orders in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide knowledgeable information about the menu, specials, and drink ingredients.
  • Ensure all orders transactions are processed accurately using the hotel’s approved point-of-sale system.
  • Ensure proper handling of cash and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring that equipment and glassware are in excellent condition.
  • Adhere to legal guidelines and company policies regarding the responsible service of alcohol.
  • Recognise signs of intoxication and take appropriate measures to ensure guest safety.

About You

  • Experience in a high-end bar, luxury hotel, or fine-dining environment.
  • A deep knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and bar techniques.
  • A natural host, with the ability to create an engaging guest experience.
  • Detail-focused, ensuring every drink and interaction meets the highest standards.
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven setting.
