Grind Barista
Grind is a coffee company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, we've expanded across London with cafés, coffee trucks and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery.
Our cafes and coffee shops are the beating heart of Grind, they are where it all began. We're a bustling hub in the heart of London's most iconic places, known for serving our specialty coffee and renowned bottomless brunches.
We think coffee can be a force for good. Whether it's through creating the UK's first compostable coffee pods, our plastic-free packaging or carbon-free shipping - we're on a mission to be the world's most sustainable coffee company. In 2023, we created our charity, the Better Coffee Foundation, to undo the damage done by the global coffee industry - in our first year, we recovered 43 million pods' worth of ocean-bound plastic. At Grind, we’re always developing our cocktail and bar culture and are now looking for an enthusiastic bartender who enjoys making classical drinks with contemporary twists.
Our Bartenders focus on the need for consistency and attention to detail when it comes to the classics, and contribute to the seasonal menus alongside the Bar Managers.
We are looking for energetic night owls to join the Grind Crew in any of our Central London Locations!
As a Grind Bartender of course we expect the usual stuff on a day to day basis; great service, cocktail consistency and some quality shaking. In return we'll have a structured personal development plan for you to push your career to the next stages, whatever that may be.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
