Basketball Coach – True Vision Elite

True Vision Elite is a Surrey-based basketball organisation founded in 2020 with a mission to reshape the future of UK basketball. We are committed to developing young players by providing structured coaching, high-quality skills training and a high-performance environment. Our aim is to help athletes reach their full potential both on and off the court by fostering excellence, discipline, dedication and a positive team culture.
At True Vision Elite, our coaches play a vital role in inspiring the next generation of players while creating an enjoyable, inclusive and professional learning environment.
Role Description
True Vision Elite is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Basketball Coach to join our coaching team for the upcoming season.
This is a part-time, on-site role based in Walton on Thames and Guildford, supporting the development of our athletes from September to April. The successful candidate will deliver engaging coaching sessions, develop players’ technical and tactical understanding of the game, and contribute to the continued growth of our programme.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging basketball coaching sessions for players of varying ages and abilities.
- Teach fundamental and advanced basketball skills, game concepts and position-specific techniques.
- Lead high-quality training sessions using progressive drills, small-sided games and match scenarios.
- Support player development by providing constructive feedback and individual guidance.
- Coach teams during fixtures & tournaments
- Monitor player progress and contribute to individual development plans.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment where every player can thrive.
- Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and club staff to ensure consistency across the programme.
- Uphold the values, standards and culture of True Vision Elite both on and off the court.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will possess:
- Level 2 Basketball Coaching Qualification.
- An up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Previous experience coaching basketball, ideally within youth or club environments.
- Strong basketball coaching skills with the ability to design and deliver effective training sessions.
- Excellent knowledge of basketball fundamentals, game strategy and position-specific techniques.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Experience planning training sessions, monitoring player progress and adapting coaching to suit different ages and ability levels.
- A passion for developing young players and helping them achieve their potential.
- The ability to create an inclusive, encouraging environment for players from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills, reliability and punctuality, with consistent availability for scheduled training sessions and games.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable
- Basketball England coaching qualifications beyond Level 2 or equivalent.
- First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.
- Experience coaching within a performance or academy environment.
- Driving Licence
