Role Description
The Basketball Table Official is responsible for managing game administration from the scorer’s table during home fixtures. This part-time, on-site role in Rugby includes:
- Operating the game clock
- Recording scores and fouls
- Tracking timeouts
- Ensuring accurate documentation of player participation
The role involves close coordination with referees, coaches, and other officials to maintain smooth game flow and compliance with league regulations. The Table Official helps prepare match paperwork, sets up and checks table equipment before games, and reports any discrepancies or issues to the game crew. This position requires consistent attendance at scheduled games, typically evenings or weekends, and a professional, impartial approach to all teams and participants.
