Bathroom Installation Technician
Salary: 41,327 plus excellent benefits
Mobile role: Travel across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding counties.
Office location: High Wycombe and Chesham.
Van and fuel card provided for business use
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday

About the role
We are looking for 4 Bathroom Installation Technicians to join our Planned Works team and help deliver high-quality bathroom installations across our homes. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for carrying out complete bathroom replacements, including all associated finishing works. You will work in residents' homes, ensuring every installation is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard from start to finish.
You'll be part of a team committed to improving our homes and delivering a positive experience for residents, taking pride in your workmanship and maintaining excellent standards of customer service throughout every project.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver complete bathroom installations across our housing stock
- Carry out associated tiling, flooring, decorating and finishing works
- Ensure all installations meet required quality, safety and regulatory standards
- Complete all required paperwork and digital documentation accurately
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service within residents' homes
- Build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and contractors
- Comply with all health and safety legislation, risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Manage materials, van stock and equipment responsibly, minimising waste where possible
- Maintain company assets including vehicles, PPE, uniforms and communication devices
- Escalate concerns, defects or risks appropriately
- Support apprentices, service technicians and colleagues through coaching and on-the-job guidance where required

About you
Essential
- Significant experience carrying out bathroom installations, maintenance and repairs across multiple trades
- Experience working independently and managing your own workload effectively
- Experience delivering high standards of customer service within a maintenance or property environment
- Strong practical knowledge of bathroom installation, repairs and property maintenance
- Good understanding of construction practices, building regulations and health and safety requirements
- Understanding of customer service standards and maintenance best practice
- Ability to work on your own initiative and make sound decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Ability to complete paperwork and digital records accurately
- Relevant City and Guilds, NVQ qualification or equivalent demonstrable trade experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Desired
- Experience working within social housing, housing maintenance or planned works environments
- Experience mentoring apprentices or supporting less experienced colleagues
- Understanding of housing sector compliance requirements
- Ability to coach, develop and share knowledge with others
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining technical expertise

Working Hours & Additional Pay
40 hours per week 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday. Participation in out-of-hours rota, with potential to boost base salary.
