Wade Construction and Developments Ltd is an experienced construction company delivering construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects across the Commercial, Industrial, Housing, Health, and Data Centre sectors. The company provides a full range of services including new build construction, extensions, refurbishment, and modernisation. Wade Construction also specializes in interiors and fit-out, groundwork and enabling works, and construction site logistics.

Role Description

The Bathroom Technician role is a subcontract position, refurbishing bathrooms in occupied properties based in Birmingham. The Bathroom Technician will be responsible for installing, refurbishing, and fitting bathroom fixtures and fittings to agreed specifications and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks may include preparation of work areas, removal of existing fixtures, installation of baths, showers, basins, toilets, and associated plumbing, as well as aqua panels, sealing, and finishing work. The role involves working closely with site managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of bathroom projects, compliance with health and safety requirements, and adherence to company procedures. The Bathroom Technician will also be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients when needed.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in bathroom installation, including fitting sanitary ware, showers, aqua panels, and associated fixtures.
  • Practical skills in basic plumbing, tiling, sealing, and carpentry relevant to bathroom refurbishment and fit-out.
  • Knowledge of construction health and safety practices and ability to follow company and regulatory standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with managers, colleagues, and other trades.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks within project timelines.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in plumbing and / or bathroom fitting are beneficial.
  • Full, valid driving license, own fully insured transport, and ability to travel to the Birmingham properties and, where required, other project locations.
