Role Overview
Take ownership of production performance while helping deliver quality products safely and efficiently.
As a Production Operative, you'll play an important role in ensuring manufacturing and packing operations run smoothly, safely and efficiently. Working closely with colleagues across production and distribution, you'll help manage materials, equipment and resources while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and operational performance.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your manufacturing skills, contribute to continuous improvement and build a long-term career within a leading food business.
Key Duties
- Support the safe and efficient operation of production and packing activities
- Work closely with your Line Manager to achieve production objectives
- Collaborate with wider teams to deliver site performance goals
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example
- Identify and report health, safety and environmental concerns promptly
- Support the delivery of food safety and quality standards
- Assist with the effective use of labour, materials and equipment
- Coach colleagues and new team members on safe working practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within your area
- Participate in health, safety and environmental audits
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with site procedures

Ideal Candidate
- Qualified to Level 2 Food Hygiene or equivalent
- Able to work effectively with colleagues across multiple departments
- Experienced in completing paperwork accurately and to a high standard
- Committed to achieving objectives and delivering results
- A positive role model who demonstrates professional behaviours
- Focused on health, safety and food quality standards
- A strong team player with good communication skills
- Motivated to contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence
