Role Overview
As a Production Operative within our Coated department, you'll play an important role in ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with colleagues across Production, Hygiene, Engineering, and operational teams, you'll help maintain smooth production flow while supporting a culture of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Duties
- Operate batter production processes to achieve volume, quality, and performance targets.
- Work collaboratively with production and support teams to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Take ownership of your production area, identifying and resolving issues that could impact productivity or quality.
- Support continuous improvement activities that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Carry out routine quality checks and complete production documentation accurately.
- Ensure products consistently meet company and regulatory food safety and quality requirements.
- Identify and report quality concerns promptly to minimise risk and maintain standards.
- Contribute ideas that support operational excellence, product quality, and cost efficiency.

Ideal Candidate
- Have a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to work towards one.
- Ideally have experience within a food manufacturing, food production, or FMCG environment.
- Have a good understanding of food safety, quality, and health and safety requirements.
- Be comfortable working towards production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality products.
- Be confident identifying issues, solving problems, and suggesting process improvements.
- Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues across the operation.
- Be motivated to learn new skills, develop your knowledge, and take on additional responsibilities.
