Battery HV Build Technician
Banbury | Manufacturing Department
Are you an experienced manufacturing technician with a background in high-voltage systems and battery assembly? We are seeking a Battery HV Build Technician to join our manufacturing team in Banbury, supporting the production of advanced high-voltage battery systems for industrial applications.
Reporting to the Lead Technician, you will play a vital role on the battery assembly line, following detailed production processes and work instructions to build high-quality battery systems to exacting standards. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong focus on quality, safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with the Lead Technician to ensure products are delivered to agreed schedules.
- Support the day-to-day activities of the department.
- Maintain accurate build documentation.
- Adhere to strict quality standards.
- Promote health, safety, and environmental best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve build, test, and assembly processes.
- Investigate and report faults identified during production.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the work area.
- Provide support across other programmes and projects as required by the business.

To be successful, you will have:
- Experience working within a high-voltage manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of lithium-ion battery technologies and manufacturing techniques.
- A proactive approach, able to respond quickly to challenges.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a flexible, adaptable attitude.
Applicants should have:
- Significant mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing experience.
- Experience using electrical test equipment and testing high-voltage battery systems in accordance with work instructions.
- Previous experience within a battery manufacturing environment, particularly working with high-voltage modules, would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Basic PC skills are also desirable.
