BBQ Chef de Partie – Peking Duck
Wanted at Shanghai Me – Join Our Culinary Team!
We’re looking for a skilled and passionate BBQ Chef de Partie specialising in Peking duck to join the kitchen at Shanghai Me, a luxury Asian restaurant delivering bold flavours, exceptional produce, and high-energy dining.
You’ll be part of a dynamic kitchen brigade, specialising in traditional Asian BBQ techniques while working with precision, consistency, and speed in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and cook Chinese BBQ duck and other BBQ dishes to a consistently high standard
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of duck preparation, roasting, glazing, and presentation
- Ensure quality, flavour, texture, and presentation meet Shanghai Me’s premium standards
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation throughout service
- Support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Assist with preparation, stock rotation, and daily kitchen routines

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a busy Asian or Chinese kitchen (minimum 2 years)
- Essential Chinese BBQ Peking duck experience
- Strong understanding of BBQ preparation and cooking techniques
- Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and presentation
- Positive, can-do attitude and strong team spirit
- Passion for Asian cuisine and a desire to develop your skills
- Eligible to work in the UK
