About the role
The Business Central Pre-Sales Consultant is a customer-facing specialist responsible for leading Pre-Sales engagements across Node4's Business Central portfolio within the AI Business Solutions practice. The role covers BC opportunities from qualification through to handover, including discovery, solution scoping, demonstration, and estimates.
Day-to-day responsibilities include providing discovery and solution design support to the Sales teams, preparing and delivering tailored demonstrations using ISV and Node4 solutions, and working with other members of the Pre-Sales team to showcase the wider Microsoft Business Solutions ecosystem.
This role suits someone with a functional BC background gained through delivery, support, or consulting, provided it comes with a real appetite for the customer-facing and commercial side of Pre-Sales rather than the product knowledge alone.
Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Engagement
- Take Pre-Sales ownership of BC opportunities end to end - qualification, discovery, solution scoping, and demonstration - across the varied customer base Node4 supports
- Prepare and deliver BC demonstrations, including common ISV solutions and our own portfolio of extensions, to a consistent and credible standard for business and technical audiences, explaining the business value and relevant cost trade-offs of the proposed solution
- Translate what a customer describes into a scoped solution rather than a feature list, and be able to clearly communicate what makes up that solution - what is standard BC, ISVs, customisation, or a gap
- Produce estimates, proposal documentation, bid responses, and statements of work in collaboration with the sales team
- Contribute to marketing activity including webinars, events, and content creation

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
