Salary: Up to £37,500 p/a (depending on experience)
Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2029, with a view to extend
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Location: Central London (N1 7JE), with minimum of two days in the office (one of which must be Wednesday)

The Bus Centre of Excellence Team
The Bus Centre of Excellence (BCoE) is funded by the Department for Transport (DfT) and run and managed by CIHT. BCoE has secured funding until the end of March 2029 with possibility for an extension. The team consists of the Head of BCoE, the digital engagement specialist, the membership and reporting lead, the Regional Stakeholder Engagement Manager and 2 Regional Stakeholder Engagement Leads (a total of 6 Full-Time Equivalent).

The BCoE Membership and Performance Lead will play a crucial role in shaping the development of bus services by fostering knowledge sharing, supporting policy implementation and connecting stakeholders.
Job Purpose
This role sits within the Bus Centre of Excellence (BCoE) team, which is part of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), funded by the Department of Transport. The Bus Centre of Excellence promotes and communicates best practice in the bus industry and providing learning & development opportunities for bus professionals. The Membership and Performance Lead will play a crucial role in shaping the development of bus services by fostering knowledge sharing, supporting policy implementation, and connecting stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of BCoE, the BCoE Digital Engagement Specialist, the BCoE Stakeholder Engagement team, the Director of Policy and Technical Affairs and the wider CIHT organisation. This is a fixed term post until 31st March 2029 with a view to extend.
The main purpose of the Membership and Performance Lead is to:

- Manage the membership and meetings of BCoE Networks and Forums.
- Provide regular reports on BCoE activity.
- Support BCoE training output.
- Plan and deliver a series of BCoE events (online and in-person).
- Liaise with other organisations, BCoE partners and members for events (in person and digital), promoting new policies and general content creation.
- Assist in collating information for the weekly BCoE newsletter, showcasing events, promotion of new material added to the BCoE website, etc.
- Ensure that our events, materials and content (webinars, website, digital/printed materials and social media posts) are consistent according to BCoE branding and values.
- Provide ad-hoc support to in-person BCoE national and regional events (including at least three annual conferences, at least one of which will be outside London and require an overnight stay).
