Business Development Manager (KA)
Robotics & Physical AI Data
Role Overview
As Business Development Manager, you will own the full commercial relationship with a portfolio of strategic Key Accounts (KA) across manufacturing, automotive, logistics, and retail. You will identify new business opportunities, lead the sales cycle from prospecting to close, and act as the primary point of contact for existing key clients – ensuring their needs are understood, translated into deliverable solutions, and grown over time. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, cross-cultural environment and is energized by frequent client-facing travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic Key Accounts (KA) across manufacturing, automotive, logistics, and retail, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
- Own the end-to-end B2B business development cycle: prospecting, lead qualification, solution positioning, commercial negotiation, and deal closing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technical, procurement, and executive stakeholders within client organizations.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies, including upselling and cross-selling within existing key accounts.
- Represent the company at client sites, industry events, and conferences across UK, requiring frequent travel.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, delivery, and data operations teams to ensure client requirements are accurately translated into deliverable solutions.
- Track market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs in robotics, industrial automation, AGV/AMR, and physical AI data to help shape go-to-market strategy.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, account plans, and performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
