About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development & Marketing Executive to join our Business Development & Marketing Team in Milton Keynes.
The BD & Marketing Executive will be based in Milton Keynes and will be responsible for managing and attending events and supporting the Partners and Fee Earners across both the Milton Keynes and Northampton offices with their BD action plans and opportunities.
Some of your duties will include:
- Managing and attending Howes Percival events and webinars, including events in Milton Keynes and Northampton, with flexibility to attend events outside normal working hours
- Managing and attending key external networking events, with flexibility to attend events outside normal working hours, for example awards
- Producing PowerPoint slides, delegate packs and corporate gifts for seminars and hospitality events
- Supporting Partners and Fee Earners with their team and individual business development action plans
- Leading and attending office BD meetings, recording and following up actions, and coordinating office-wide BD initiatives
- Producing credentials, proposals and presentations for Partners' and Fee Earners' pitches and tenders
- Managing office business development meeting notes and following up actions
- Coordinating submissions for legal directories
- Keeping the firm’s CRM system up to date with key contact details
- Coordinating photoshoots for new starters and PR opportunities
- Promoting content via the firm’s social media platforms
- Liaising with stakeholders on PR opportunities
- Assisting with internal and external communications
- Dealing with ad hoc business development and marketing tasks

About You
- Event experience required, with enthusiasm for event management desired
- Experience of drafting bids and tenders (preferred but not essential)
- Business development experience required, with enthusiasm for helping to develop relationships desired
- A full driving licence and access to a car are essential, as the role requires travel between Milton Keynes, Northampton and event locations
- Flexibility to work the hours needed to meet business requirements around events, including occasional work outside normal working hours
- Managing several priorities, stakeholders and deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment
- High computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to support others
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- An innovator with the ability to use creativity and initiative
- Knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop (preferred but not essential)
- Experience of working within a professional services environment (preferred but not essential)
